In 1959, the Korea Tang Soo Do Association (afterwards Korea Taekwondo Association or KTA) was recognized to aid the unification of Korean martial arts. Choi required all another member kwans in the KTA to adopt his individual Chan Hon-type of Taekwondo, to be a unified design. This was, nevertheless, satisfied with resistance as the other kwans ra
